Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and data generated through platform usage.

Account & profile data

Name, email, bio, profile image, location, skills, and availability status. For Sponsors: organization name, business email, and website/social details used to verify the organization.

Web3 & social data

Wallet addresses and linked accounts (Farcaster, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, GitHub, email, and others you connect).

Wallet & payout data

We create an embedded wallet for you through our wallet provider (Privy) when you first take an action that requires one, such as applying to a bounty or campaign. Bounty and campaign winnings are sent to this wallet. We process the data needed to operate the wallet and deliver payouts.

Identity verification data (where required)

We do not currently perform government-ID identity verification ourselves. Where required by law or by a payment partner — for example, before certain payouts as our payment integrations evolve — you may be asked to complete identity verification, which can include legal name, date of birth, residential address, country of residence, and a government-issued ID. Where this is handled by a third-party verification or payments provider, that provider processes the documents under its own privacy terms, and we receive the verification result and limited records needed to release funds and meet legal obligations. We do not store raw government-ID documents ourselves.

Activity data

Campaign and bounty participation, submissions, XP earned, leaderboard position, referrals, and interactions. For Sponsors: bounties created, funding, and related activity.

Technical data

IP address, device type, browser, timestamps, cookies, and basic analytics.

How we use data

• Operate and improve the platform
• Create and display builder profiles and leaderboards
• Match builders with opportunities and enable bounties/campaigns
• Verify identity and age and process payouts, where such verification is required
• Prevent abuse, fraud, and XP gaming
• Communicate product updates and notifications
• Meet anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorist-financing, sanctions, tax, and other legal obligations

Legal bases for processing

Where applicable law requires, we process personal data on these bases: performance of our contract with you (operating the platform and processing payouts); compliance with legal obligations (AML/CTF, sanctions, tax); our legitimate interests (security, fraud and abuse prevention, product improvement); and your consent (for example, certain communications), which you may withdraw.

On-chain data

Blockchain transactions and wallet addresses are public by nature. We do not control or delete on-chain data.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with:

• Wallet provider (Privy) to create and operate your embedded wallet
• Payment and identity-verification providers, where used, to process payouts and meet compliance obligations
• Infrastructure providers (hosting, analytics, email)
• Partners for specific programs or campaigns, limited to what is relevant
• Legal and regulatory authorities, and financial-intelligence units, when required by law

International transfers

First Dollar is operated from the United Arab Emirates and uses service providers located in other countries. Your data may be transferred to and processed outside your country of residence. We take steps to ensure such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, analytics, and performance. Where required, we will seek your consent for non-essential cookies.

Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the platform. Identity verification (KYC), payout, and transaction records are retained for at least five (5) years after the end of our relationship, or longer where required by law, to meet anti-money-laundering and regulatory obligations — even after account closure. On-chain data is public and cannot be deleted by us.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No system is fully secure.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and account closure. Some data cannot be deleted on request: information we are legally required to retain (such as KYC and transaction records for AML purposes), and data published on public blockchains, which we do not control. We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.

Children

First Dollar is not intended for and may not be used by anyone under 18. Where identity verification applies to payouts, date of birth may be used to confirm age, and accounts found to belong to minors are removed. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if we learn we have, we delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. For material changes we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-app). Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
